Welcome to the illustration portfolio of Abbigail Villescas, an illustrator, art historian, and picture book maker.

Here, you will find illustrations created with watercolor, pen, and pencil that tell rich and vibrant stories full of plants, animals, and unique characters and environments. Abbigail’s work focuses on the relationships between people (and sometimes adorable animal characters) and plants, through folklore, history, surrealism, and the imagination and whimsy of daily life.
